Ship’s Log: Entry No. 004 - A Grateful Close to the Season

As we come to the final days before Christmas, we find ourselves feeling incredibly grateful.

Being new to Saint John, we didn’t quite know what to expect (it’s only been 3 months) — but what we found was warmth in every sense of the word. Friendly conversations, welcoming smiles from fellow vendors, and customers who took the time to ask our story, share theirs, and make us feel at home. From our very first day, this city has embraced us in a way we won’t forget.

Our time at Queens Square Market, Christmas at the Gardens, Saint John City Market and Lovely Little Market have been especially meaningful. It’s been a place of connection, kindness, and community — a reminder that tea is as much about connecting than it is about what’s in the cup.

To everyone who stopped by, supported local, shared a kind word, or simply took a moment to warm up with us: thank you. You’ve made this season truly special and confirmed that we’ve found the right harbour to call home.

As we look ahead to the New Year, we’re excited — for new blends, new stories, and many more moments of communitTEA in this remarkable city. We’re proud to be part of Saint John’s ongoing revitalization, adding our small chapter to a city that is rediscovering its energy, creativity, and sense of possibility.

As you move into the Christmas and holiday season, we hope you’re able to enjoy it with friends, family, neighbours — or anyone else you can share a kind moment with during this wonderful time of year. May your days be filled with warmth, connection, and a well-steeped cup of comfort.

From our hearts (and our kettle) to yours,
thank you, Saint John.
